2008, Are You Ready ?  -   20/02/2008

First of all, Happy New Year !!! We have been neglecting you lately… but it is for a very good cause ! We have been locked in studio working hard on our latest stuff, and it’s finally starting to resemble what has been running around in our minds! ! But there is still a lot of work left, so for all the amateurs of our shows we are working hard to satisfy your demands and will have new dates as soon as possible.

On another note, we have just received the compilation of our songs and the stats are telling us that more and more of you are downloading our titles from sites like iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, etc… The countries that are the strongest at the moment are England, US, Canada, France, Japan, and Australia…. (help place your country on top of the best buyers list ! ;)

And for all you folks that are old school and are having problems finding our CD (probably cuz they are all sold out, lol). Leave us a message in our contact section and we will gladly be of service to you !

The last news of the day, but definitely not the least, is that we have been approached by LogMusik Publishing and have just signed a contract with them for our album Sources. We are extremely happy to be working with them ! So don’t be surprised to recognize our songs in your favorite up coming video games, films and tv series !

We're not dead........  -   16/07/2007

So, I know we've been kinda quiet as of late. But behind it all, we've been busting our ass's working on the next album, which should be out in early 2008. Hard work pays off, as we've got a dozen or so songs thus far that we're super stoked about! We can't wait to start playing them live!!!

Speaking of live......
We've held off playing not too many shows this summer....TILL NOW!!! We'll be holding a huge show at the Horseshoe Tavern on Saturday, August 11th. This one is gonna be such a wicked night!
We will debut many new tunes, along with our new stage show, and we're so excited to get it out there!

Also, the support on the bill is amazing!
We've got the Central Nervus System, and they give one kickass live show. The Dunes will be sure to rock the place as always. And KC Roberts will make you dance the night away with his 9 piece R&B/Hip Hop group. We can't wait for this show, and it's what we've been waiting for for some time now. So we hope to see ya there!

DAT'S HYPE YO!  -   04/04/2007

We needed a boost, and oh boy did we get one! We've just gotten news that Hype Energy Drink has now become a part of the PERKiNS family. They've just hopped on board, and has supplied us with enough drinks to stay awake for the rest of our lives and then some. So if you're at a show, and we seem kinda crazy, you now know why....haha. A HUGE THANKS goes out to Hype! We are so glad to have your support, and we promise not to mix too much vodka into your drinks.

Other than that, PERKiNS has been hella busy! The writing for the new record had been unreal. We're so happy with the progress thus far, and we can't wait to see what's still to come. We've began to play some of the new stuff live, and it's been going over very very well. And speaking of live, we've got a shit load of shows coming up for this summer. rock n' roll may not be dead.......  -   12/02/2007

Well, it's kind of a crazy, sad, exciting, fun time for us. Sounds really weird, i know. But we just finished the last show of the "sources" tour last week in Drummondville, PQ. The sold out show, without a doubt was fucking awesome! We gave it our all, and partied like rock stars all night long. We want give a huge shout out to Francis Caron and all the sponsors for putting the show together, you did one hell of a job! ANYHOO, with that being said, we're now taking some time off to write the new record. Some of you may have even heard some of the new songs at some shows in the past little while. We still have a shit load of work to do, so this much needed time off the road will do us well. We have this great idea for the record, and can't wait to get it out there. And don't worry all you little perkies, we'll be back playing shows in late April.....k.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!  -   23/12/2006

We just wanted to say we had a great year in 06', and we hope 07' goes just as well if not better.
Thanks to anyone who supported us in any which way. We needed it.

The writing of the new album is going awesome! And we can't wait to start playing this stuff live. We've already got a new live video of one new song called "cancer". You can go check it out on our myspace.

For all you Toronto people, we will be back at the EDGE 102 studios for yet another free all ages show on January 13th. Be sure to come out if you're in the area. Also, we will be playing one kick ass home town show in Drummondville at the Box Office on February 3ed.

So yeah, have a wonderful holiday time, and we can't wait to see you all next year!

HALLOWEEN in TORONTO!  -   28/10/2006

It was a dark and misty night. Perkins trailed the streets of Toronto looking for the party to rock all. They found the almost dead crowbar which was on it's last night of life. Perkins rocked the place to a full house of very enthusiastic dressed up Torontonians ready to giveer. After the set, Perkins began to party till the wee hours of the morning. It was such a good party that the bar actually ran out of booze. AWESOME!!! Some costumes that caught the eye were Duffman, Ali G and Borat, Mario and Luigi, The Three Rasta Men, Superman and Superwoman and not to forget the best costume winner THE CRAZZZZZY CAVE WOMAN! A HUGE thanks goes out to Pappa String and the imposters for the supporting act, they played an amazing set and got everyone into the groove. Also, thanks for Enric and the Crowbar for having us. R.I.P Crowbar.

VIDEO! and writing at the cottage.  -   21/09/2006

HEY HEY HEY!!! guess what? YES!!! The video for "underground" can now be requested at Musique Plus and Much Music. So get on your computers and request the shit out of it!!!

What have we been up to? Well, This past weekend the 4 of us went up to a cottage to begin the writing process for a new album. We came up with some great shit, and are stoked for things to come! Other than jamming and writing at the cottage, we ate, drank, played poker, lost in poker (errr), sat around the fire and oh yes, drank some more. We put up some pics in our pic section, so go check them out.

We also put some pics up from the Bovine Sex Club show in Toronto. A big thanks goes out to Carrie Duplessis for taking them!

WOW !  -   

It's been a year now! Around this time last summer we headed out on a cross Canada tour, and to us, it feels like just yesterday! This summer we started off by playing Toronto's North by NorthEast festival. We had a great time during the festival, seeing many indie bands from all over the world. "Our showcase was a new beginning for the band" says Justin, "we want people to enjoy the music, but at the same time, give an outstanding visual aspect, which we defiantly perfected at the festival". The Perkins name was absolutely apprehend to many people during NXNE.

This summer holds a lot in store for us, still going strong and opening up for Blue October in Montreal @ Le National and playing at The Horseshoe Tavern for Edge 102's Nu Music Nite. It will be Perkins first time playing the Horseshoe, so we are all stoked! Also, we will be rocking the wake at a wakeboard festival in Haliburton, and not to mention the debut of our video for "Underground" soon to be in rotation on MuchMusic and MusiquePlus.

Away from the band this summer, Jonathan decided he will take some time to relax in disneyland and let loose the inner boy inside him. Jerome thinks he is Bob Vila, and will do some much needed work on his home in Drummondville. And Justin......well.......he will focus on his dream on becoming the worlds #1 midget throwing champion!

NEWS NEWS NEWS  -   

This past weekend, we rocked the house and Toronto's very own Edge 102 studios. We kicked ass for a good 40 minutes to a great Toronto crowd which went all the way out on Younge St. We also had an interview with on air personality Darryl Spring. Defiantly one of the high points of our career thus far. A big thanks goes out to Barry Taylor for booking us and being a huge support of the band.
Also, a few weeks ago, we shoot our new video for the single "Underground" .They were long days of shooting which snuck into the wee hours of the morning, and by the end, we were exshausted!!! But all worth it in the name of rock n' roll. We had a blast shooting it though, and got some amazing shots. A big thanks goes out to the crew and everyone that had something to do with the shoot. So yeah, it is now being edited and should be in rotation on MuchMusic and MusiquePlus very soon. So get on your computers and request the shit out of it!!!

And for all you downloader's, Perkins is now available on all major download sites including iTunes, Napster, RHAPSODY, MusicMatch, Audio Lunchbox, MusicNow, MSN Music Service...

Perkins has been really busy as of late! Canadian Music Week was a huge success, as we had some great articles and reviews, not to mention the show was kick ass!!!
Edge 102's Barry Taylor has asked us to play his Steam Whistle Indie Club, which will take place on May 5th at the Edge 102 studio right in the heart of downtown Toronto.
Also, the production for the next video shoot for the song "underground" is underway, and will begin shooting very very soon!!
So that's what we're up to, check our shows section to see if we will be playing by you anytime soon!!

Canadian Music Week  -   11/01/2006

Hey all you Perkies,

Hope this all finds you well in the new year!
Perkins is pleased to announce that they have been selected out of thousands of applicants to take part in CMW (canadian music week) in Toronto. Now in it's 24th year, CMW is the single longest running and premiere conference focusing on business of Music, bringing together Sound Recording, New Technology and Broadcast for one spectacular week of events. Perkins will be playing at the Richmond Lounge on Thursday, March 2nd and is promised to be one kick ass show! We hope to see many of you there! Go to our tour section for further details.

Justin's birthday in T.O.  -   

Our time in Toronto was awesome! We rocked to a huge crowd at the legendary Lee's Palace (Nirvana and Red Hot played there!!!) with everyone enjoying themselves. People really seemed to enjoy our set as they were busting down some moves to our energetic music. Afterwards, we went upstairs from Lee's to a place called The Dance Cave to celebrate my birthday in rock n' roll style. We all danced the night away with some remembering more than others.....hahaha.....damn shots!

End of the vacations!!!   -   



Well! The vacation is now over.

After their long tour across Canada, the Perkins members definitely needed some sleep and time to just relax.
So, after a month of extremely deserved rest, Perkins is now back on the war track filled with the Rock n’ Roll power. No more days at the beach with a Pina Colada in the hand while getting a tan. No more massages, manicurists, healthy snacks or spa treatments.


Perkins will be heading down to Toronto, Ontario for a week to settle some arrangements and for the public pleasure they will perform live (November 5th @ Lee’s Palace ) see tour section for all the details.


Also, the next Perkins single will soon be heard all across Canada. Keep your ears, T.V and radio tuned and try to find what Perkins is cooking up for you.


SPECIAL!!!! Perkins has just signed a sponsorship with Converse. Now your favorite rockers will wear the Cadillac of shoes!!!

Oh Yeah! The 2005 Perkins Summer Tour is done now. It’s been an awesome experience, even if the roads were long and winding. For example, we played in Hamilton one night, and right after the show, we drove to Thunder Bay for our next show the following night (a 20 hour road trip) OUCH!!! And you know what? After the show in Thunder Bay, we packed our stuff and drove to Winnipeg for 7 hours. Almost 30 hours of road in 2 days. Stinky tour bus, I might add!

After that craziness, we headed to Saskatchewan, where the Prairies seemed long and never ending…! After our shows in Regina and Saskatoon, we took off to Calgary. Finally! There are mountains and beautiful landscape! AHHH! It was awesome! We stayed 4 days at Andree and Gilbert’s house, (a Quebec couple that are friends of ours). They have lived there for 10 years now. Thanks a lot again for your hospitality.

For the last bit of the tour, we had 6 shows left in 8 days, we really think it was the biggest part of our adventure. We did 2 shows in Banff, right in the middle of the Rockies, and it was awesome! Then, a 10 hour road trip to BC for the last 4 shows. The first concert was in Vancouver. After that, we left for Vancouver Island , where the city of Victoria is. Getting on the fairy was expensive, but it was well worth it because the landscape was insane. After we rocked Victoria, we played in Courtenay. Then we were off to Vancouver again for out last show of the tour. But, before that, we had 2 days off. We spent our time visiting the city and going to the nudist colony right on a beach. Oh yes! We went on the beach with a lot of naked people. We enjoyed the time but we kept our swim suits on.... ha! ha!

In a quick word, 15 shows in 25 days Oshawa to Vancouver. More over, we can say that the tour has been enriching emotionally and successfully. Some radios stations in Canada are actually playing our first single Casino : Vancouver, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Regina…and more to come.

We can say that there are a lot of beautiful things in our country. It will no doubt, always stick in our minds, but we can also say that we missed Quebec a lot, and we looked forward to seeing it again! (I don't think Justin felt the same was about Toronto, as he could of gone on forever!!!)

We are actually in Toronto right now for the Summer Tour. We have done three excellent shows since the beginning of the that tour and the people were amazing. We have two days off very appreciated before leaving for a few shows in a row. Stay tuned each week for the details of the tour.

New Live Video  -   14/07/2005

A couple weeks ago, we did a school tour, preparing us for the summer tour which takes place across Canada. Each show, the kids were very energetic which made the shows completely insane. We rocked the place and the kids very appreciated our efforts. After the shows, we gave some posters, t-shirt and we signed a lot of autographs. Thank you kids for your support.

Good news for Perkins  -   05/05/2005

After two years of hard work, the Perkins' label, First Music Entertainment, is just signing on an important distribution agreement with the Outside Music Company of Toronto.

It means that the first "formal" album of Perkins "Sources" will be available in all disc dealer through Canada from may 17th, 2005. "Sources" offer’s 11 tunes, which you can see the first extract music video “Casino” on Musique Plus and soon on Much Music. Don't forget to vote every day on Top 5 anglo of Musique Plus to ask for the clip http://top5.musiqueplus.com/en/top5/vote/en. We will soon put album extracts in the music section.

What a night!  -   08/04/2005

We want to thank every participant, every volunteer and the sponsors who came for the premiere of Perkins's first videoclip “Casino”, at the Cabaret Box Office in Drummondville. More than 300 people contributed for that video and to see everyone involved again was extremely appreciated. The special guests had the chance to see, in addition of the clip, the photos, the making of and the deleted scenes of the video editing. Everyone had a lot of pleasure during the projection. Of course, by popular request, we had to show the videoclip over and over again. We are very proud of that night, thanks for your support.

We would also like to thank Gregoire Bedard, the video director for his excellent job, his availability and friendship. We are presentely discussing with Greg for some other projects.

Hello to all Perkins fan,

Many news concerning the band for the next few months. First of all, we will be showing the video clip for the song "Casino" on april 7th 2005 at the Cabaret Box Office in Drummondville. This night is to reunite and invite every participant (aproximatly 200), every volunteer, the sponsors and the media to watch the video clip before it goes on air at Musique Plus and Much Music.

We are currently recording our new album wich will be in store in May 2005. There will be a lot of suprises on this album, we are very impatient for you to listen to our new songs.


We actually working on the spring-summer 2005 tour of the group in all of Canada. Stay tuned because the tour could make a stop in your town in a few months. See you soon !!

It's a Wrap  -   15/10/2004

After 2 intense months and a really long shooting week, the video clip is now done ! The mixing part will start this week and everything should be over for January. So, get ready to vote so you can see it on Much Music and Musique Plus.

We have just finished editing our video from the Box Office show that we did on may 28th. It was an extraordinary evening full of emotions.
